You Carried Me

You Carried Me
Unknown Artist

It's only when I look back
And traced the way
My crooked path has wandered
I see the footprints in the sand
And I realized You were there beside me
Every single day

You carried me through all of my trials
You carried me when I was troubled and alone
When my strength had gone
Couldn't get along without You

You carried me so I wouldn't stumble
You carried me just when I needed someone there
Who would be a friend
And I reached the end
Because He carried me

And now as I turn to face the narrow way
With shadows growing longer
I know my Savior's by my side
Always there for me
And He'll care for me
When the enemy draws near

He carried me through all of my trials
He carried me when I was troubled and alone
When my strength had gone, couldn't get along without Him

He carried me so I wouldn't stumble
He carried me just when I needed someone there
Who would be a friend
And I reached the end because He carried me

You carried me through all of my trials
You carried me when I was troubled and alone
When my strength had gone, couldn't get along without You

You carried me so I wouldn't stumble
You carried me just when I needed someone there
Who would be a friend
And I reached the end because You carried me

When You Look Me In The Eyes

When You Look Me In The Eyes
Jonas Brothers

If the heart is always searching,
Can you ever find a home?
I've been looking for that someone,
I'll never make it on my own.
Dreams can't take the place of loving you,
There's gotta be a million reasons why it's true.

When you look me in the eyes,
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,
I catch a glimpse of heaven.
I find my paradise,
When you look me in the eyes.

How long will I be waiting,
To be with you again?
Gonna tell you that I love you,
In the best way that I can.
I can't take a day without you here,
You're the light that makes my darkness disappear.

When you look me in the eyes,
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,
I catch a glimpse of heaven.
I find my paradise,
When you look me in the eyes.

More and more, I start to realize,
I can reach my tomorrow,
I can hold my head up high,
And it's all because you're by my side.

When you look me in the eyes,
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
And when I hold you in my arms,
I know that it's forever
I just gotta let you know,
I never wanna let you go, cause

When you look me in the eyes.
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright, (it's alright)
When you're right here by my side. (by my side)
When you look me in the eyes,
I catch a glimpse of heaven. (oh)
I find my paradise,
When you look me in the eyes.

Jottings:
Have you ever heard how bias people can get about songs when they were affected in the past, and those songs never fail to bring to surface the past right before their eyes, causing them to relive the torment and fear - all over again?

Perhaps that is so for me.

I realized that many songs written these days are of the surface values. Songs that speak of being okay when a special someone is beside; but is that really true?

Perhaps I am bias because there was a certain past when I had experienced something like that - believing that things will be okay when a special someone was by my side to support me. Little did I care to realize that it was actually my foolish eyes that refused to see the selfishness both in me and that special someone; we both want our dreams, which clashed terribly.

I suppose that is part of growing up - when you experience hurt and love both at the same time.

Well, to scrutinize this song, the lyrics are really fantasy-like. Chord progressions are simple in imitating, as well as the tag. But all in all, catchy and pleasing to the ears.

However, I do not just go for the feel of the music; I go for the lyrics too.

I suppose my biasness is properly displayed. Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against this song.
